“I strongly believe that love is the answer and that it can mend even the deepest unseen wounds. Love can heal, love can console, love can strengthen, and yes, love can make change.” ― Somaly Mam, The Road of Lost Innocence: The True Story of a Cambodian Heroine
Following up with “how to help” from my recent post about me joining The Exodus Road, I pray this season finds you in good health and a bright hope for the future.
It’s that time of the year again with us (me, Tribal Marks and Karingah!) and I would like to ask everyone (yes, especially you) a favor. I’m asking friends and family to join me in rescuing children and women from sex slavery.
To my anguish, 20-30 million lives are in captivity worldwide, and children even as young as 5 are sold/kidnapped and forced into prostitution and labor, “serving” several “clients” a day. Just imagine it through your heart- the seat of compassion, as I know compassion moves us beyond pity to activity. So:
I need 140 friends and family to give at least $10 each to Fund A Raid for this December. This is what it takes to send an investigator, kick down the doors of a brothel, and bring perpetrators to justice in SE Asia.
As I mentioned previously, we’ve run the Please TAKE my children campaign for the past couple of years through our allies. This year, I joined the coalition, The Exodus Road that focuses it’s activities on intervention, and I would like to help raise funds. You can stay up to date with real stories of rescued ones and investigations through my blog.
I am personally asking, and would love if you would help make the difference. Are you able to agree with me (with at least $10?). Please let me know.

But this is what the Lord says: “Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save. Isaiah 49:25 NIV
‘Looking forward to your feedback, and their freedom!
