“You are altogether beautiful, my darling, beautiful in every way”
– Song of Solomon 4:7
First – no – it does not mean taking a wet skinny dip in a pool in the wild, haha! Although it could include that – if that’s your jam!
You may already know about the Passion Barre and Pilates technique, but what about Forest Bathing?
Beyond a simple hike in the woods, this form of eco-therapy is an invitation to engage with nature’s embrace through awakening your senses to see, listen, touch, breathe, reflect and even taste.
Picture yourself going barefoot or in a pair of shoes amidst towering trees, flickering sunlight, and vibrant hues of wildflowers—each step unveiling a world of wonder and sensory delights…
“Perhaps the most important reason to develop the habit of studying nature is to cultivate wonder and learn more about God…”–Joy Cherrick.
What makes Forest Bathing with Passion Barre truly remarkable are the health benefits. This immersive experience could very well add to your wellness arsenal to help lower stress levels, decrease blood pressure, increase immune killer T-cells and increase overall well-being.
From improved physical intelligence, weight-loss and strengthening capabilities, cognitive abilities, reduced stress, genuine social interaction with enhanced creativity and resourcefulness – Research shows that nature-based activities provide an abundance of rewarding results.
Reclaim your health and sense of appreciation and wonder amidst the canvas of the rushing whispering creek and lush, verdant forest emitting phytoncides (natural essential oil compounds). After a short hike and Passion Barre at the top, alongside cool-down, wild crafting and yummy poetry tea time, you can expect to feel a thriving sense of relaxation in the intuitively rejuvenating, yet calming outdoor setting.
I emphasize the power of your uplifted, purposeful, resilient state being everything — and my obsession with guiding you to sustain it. As a speaker, designer and performing artist, my busy life and mind shifted during motherhood, and deep surrender led to discovery, unveiling a riveting gift.
The outdoors had always been a side fascination to me. And as the owner of a health and wellness lifestyle brand and former Barre and Pilates studio – natural health and living was rooted deep within me. I had often spoken of earthing, but hadn’t quite understood Forest “bathing”.
As I stepped into my season of motherhood in full force, my family and I embarked on our version of home, world, or wild school and nature’s wonders unearthed beyond my previous experiences in any kind of classroom or studio.
Going through the pandemic and reconnecting with nature in the wild helped me find the perfect happy place synergy of filling up well; educating my children well; and serving my clients and community well. Bringing this to my studio tribe has been with great anticipation as I simultaneously brought our Wondering Oaks Forest Cycles to the children.
So this is your invitation, to join me in the next “Barre in the Wild” pop up event as we uncover the uplifting (and the barre butt lift addict cheers along), purposeful, and resilient wonders of our forests, creeks, and mountains to reclaim our health, with wellness and wonder.
“Let them once get in touch with nature and a habit is formed which will be a source of delight and habit through life.”
– Charlotte Mason
