We often to seek to duplicate what we’re called to multiply. But you can’t always duplicate – especially that which you can only multiply.
We see a thing, we like it, so we want to do it again. We bypass the source it came from and attempt to recreate the end result. This may be with people we admire (or envy); or successes we experience.
Duplication comes from attempting to copy an outcome and can sometimes lead to a hit or miss, dead end, or lack of authenticity. Multiplication comes from bearing fruit from a seed that originates from the source, which provides everything needed for an authentic force of life and reproductivity.
There are times when The Lord is calling you to a place of trust, where you’re no longer seeking security in a predictable repetition of events, nor trying to force it. But rather, graciously receiving, yet loosely holding on to these outcomes while allowing Him to freely lead and provide in whichever creative avenue He favors you with next.
I heard a friend once echo “God is so creative, He doesn’t need to repeat anything.”
When a successful outcome happens, go to the Provider of The Seed. When a resource dries up, go to The Provider of The Seed. When nothing seems to be happening, stay with The Provider of The Seed ❤️
